INTRO

This FAQ is to help make your online purchasing experience a total success. If you cannot find the answers to any questions you may have below, please email us through the website and it will be our pleasure to answer your questions directly to solve any issues as quickly and conveniently as possible.

Our posters are made-to-order and our T-Shirts are made in small quantities. As a small business it helps us to predict and regulate our costs and care for the environment by creating fewer piles of inventory and waste.

We attempt to describe all items honestly and accurately, and to photograph them to the best of our abilities. Please note that colours from our photographs show up differently on every computer and variances are possible. Please take the time to view all photos before selecting an item.

ABOUT OUR POSTERS

Most of our posters are 24” x 36” (71 x 92 cm) and 27” x 40” (68.58 x 101.6 cm) and are printed on 8mil Photo Gloss Text Paper. This paper is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)  certified which means that the paper materials used are from responsibly managed forests, ensuring environmental, social, and economic benefits which also help protect forests, biodiversity, and workers while promoting responsible forestry practices. 

We have chosen these dimensions so that customers can easily find frames that match the sizes from local art supply stores at a low cost but we also encourage customers to simply pin them on their walls, studios or bedrooms.

How many posters can I select per order?

You can select up to three posters per order. Anything beyond that will compromise the quality of safe packaging. We also offer a discount for purchasing more than one poster per order (See Discounts Below)

ABOUT OUR T-SHIRTS
 
We use the direct-to-garment method of printing which uses special printers to spray biodegradable water-based inks directly on the t-shirts. The advantage to using this method allows us to handle multiple colours, reproduce high resolution images, shorten set -up time, process orders quickly, and produce shirts in smaller quantities while promoting sustainability.

Sizes?

We offer two sizes for our T-shirts: X-Large  and 2X-Large. We encourage the oversized look because  they are comfortable, stylish, and versatile offering the roomiest possible fit. Embracing oversize silhouettes helps to naturalize people’s bodies and convey a sense of power and comfort at once. They fit larger than regular shirts, allowing them to fall loosely and are designed to hang lower than your waist. 

The sizing details shared on each page for any particular piece are based on the actual measurements of the garment (not body measurements!). 

If you wish to purchase a shirt in 3XL or 4XL please let us know and we can see if we accommodate you. However this may come with and extra cost. 

What T-shirt style do you use?

Natural fibres like cotton yield the best results and that is why we use American Apparel Heavyweight 100% Cotton Unisex T-Shirts. These shirts are made from a denser material which enhances their durability and offers a more structured fit.

How do I take care of my T-shirts?

Make to wash your shirts in cold water to prevent shrinking and us a mild detergent to avoid damaging the fabric. Hang you shirts to dry as tumble drying can damage the fibres and shrink the fabric. 

How many T-Shirts can I order? 

You can only order one shirt per order. This is to ensure that we keep the cost of shipping to a minimum which is included in the final price for all customers within Canada and U.S.

For customers outside Canada and U.S., there is an additional shipping charge of $15 (CAN)

PURCHASING BOTH POSTERS AND T-SHIRTS

Posters are shipped separately form T-shirts as the posters are tightly rolled and carefully wrapped in high quality tubes to ensure safe packaging.

PAYMENT 

What form of currency do you use?

Our online shop is in Canadian Dollars. Please note that we do not levy any conversion charges. Your card-issuing bank will charge and process the payment based on their exchange rate.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards.

Are prices on Third Atlantic negotiable?

The prices in our Third Atlantic shop are firm.

How do I know a payment was made? 

When you place an order with us you can expect to receive an email confirmation at the time you place your order.

What if my payment was declined?

If you have received a notification from stating that your credit/debit card order has been declined, it could be for any number of reasons including entering your details incorrectly. Please note that it is your bank that has declined the transaction and they will only tell the account holder (i.e. you) their reasons for doing so. Please contact them for further information.

How secure is shopping from the online site?

Completely secure. We use Stripe for all transactions. Additionally, we do not have access to any payment/card information, either from the payment gateway or from our backend.

ORDERS

Once an order is made we will email you a fulfillment notification including a tracking number through Canada Post.This will occur 5 business days after your purchase (excluding weekends and holidays) We need a few days to print, package and send your order for shipping.Then depending on whether you have opted to split your order into multiple packages you will receive a shipping notification email for each package that is sent to you.

What if I didn’t receive a an order confirmation?

1. It is possible that the email might not reach you instantaneously if mail server traffic is clogged up. Please give it a few minutes and see if the email arrives.

2. Our confirmation email may have landed in your junk/spam mail folder/filter  -  please check to see if it is lurking in there.

3. Your order may not have completed. When you complete your order the final confirmation screen will display your order number. If you have not seen this page, or indeed your confirmed order number, it is possible that your order simply did not complete. 

If you believe that your order did not complete, or if you aren't sure and would like us to check, please email us with your full name and we'll look it up for you.

How can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel your order, please email us at andycapp@thirdatlantic.com within 24 hours of placing it. Once we send the confirmation email for we will start the process of fulfilling your order. It costs us money to print posters and T-shirts so we prefer not to have stock we cannot sell.

What is your refund policy? 

A cancelled purchase automatically refunds the purchase and we will send an email about the cancellation. If you purchased an order using a credit card, Stripe sends the money directly to your bank or card and the refund will appear in your account in 5 to 10 business days.

SHIPPING 

Where do you ship from?

We ship from Toronto, Canada using Expedited Canada Post Shipping Service for posters and Track Packet for T-Shirts with tracking for posters. A tracking number will be sent to you once your item is shipped. 

Where do you ship to, how long will it take, and what are the shipping charges?

We ship to specific countries worldwide and all shipping fees are pre-calculated. The shipping will charge will be automatically added to your oder once you fill out your address. Shipping times can vary within a country depending on the area and can be affected by circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather, delays at customs, busy times of year etc.

Will I be charged custom or tariff fee? 

International customs duties/taxes/charges may be charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. We are not responsible for these charges and we can’t predict what these charges may be as they vary for each destination country. We recommend contacting your local customs office to inquire about what these rates would be when placing your order.

What is your return policy? 

All items are considered final sale and are sold as-is. We do not accept returns on products.

What if the package is returned due to failed delivery?

For any failed attempts of delivery pertaining to an incorrect address, multiple failed attempts to reach you or refusal to pay customs fees - we do not take responsibility for shipping fees pertaining to the return shipment of your order.

Once the package is returned back to us, we will not be able to refund your original shipping fees, any custom duties/taxes incurred in your destination country, and the shipping charges of getting your package back to us.

What if my shipment was damaged?

If a product is delivered to you damaged please take a picture of the damaged parcel on the same day as its arrival, email us, and we can make arrangements to ship another print. However you will have to pay for shipping if you request another order.
