With a discography that stretches back 25 years, Steve Spacek has occupied a special space in our DJ sets going back to “Motion Control” on K7 with the band Spacek (I know, it gets confusing) up to the most recent albums “Natural Sci-Fi” (Eglo Records), “Houses” (Black Focus Records), the bonkers “iSn Roller Diaries”, and the cover single of “Ring The Alarm”. His sound is rooted in sound system aesthetics and his innovation is built around the utilization of the latest technology which has always played a big part in how he makes music that at once seems current, futuristic, and timeless at the same time: “The basic premise of my music is the juxtaposItion of the darker side of UK dance music, the drums and the bass, the palette and aesthetics with the beautifulness of melody and chord progression. To me that’s such an expansive sound… you can go so many places with it.”
