THUNDERCAT "Wolf & Cub" (Poster Print)

Stephen Bruner, aka Thundercat, has been entrenched in the music industry more than most people would realize. Aside from his stint in Suicidal Tendencies, his collaborations have included Kendrick Lamar (he’s all over “To Pimp A Butterfly”), Wiz Khalifa, Erykah Badu, Pharell, Bilal, Snoop, Kamasi Washington, and our all time favourite colab with Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins on the track “Show You The Way”. His fusion of R&B, hip-hop, jazz-funk, bebop guitar solos, and distinctive harmony sets him apart form all the other bass heroes. It wasn’t until he met LA producer Flying Lotus that he started singing and making his own solo records. This piece is our imagined visual promo for the song “Lone Wolf and Cub” from the EP “The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam EP”. We are not only fans of the movies Lone Wolf & Cub, alternatively titled “Shogun Assassin” but also the manga, created by Kazuo Koike.
